International Conference On Soil Sciences ICOSS2018

The first edition of the International COnference on Soil Sciences ICOSS'2018 will take place in Hammamet, Tunisia, March 17th-19th, 2018. The Conference is organized by the Tunisian National Mapping and Remote Sensing Center (CNCT) in partnership with FAO, within the framework of the Joint Collaboration Project SOIL involving the Tunisian Ministry of National Defence, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the Ministry of Agriculture, Hydraulic Resources and Fisheries.
The ICOSS'2018 Conference seeks papers, posters and tutorials describing significant research contributions. The topics include, but are not limited to, the following tracks:
  • 1st Theme: Identification & characterization of soil Prospection; Soil Engineering geosciences tools; Conventional and non-conventional resources; Valorization
  • 2nd Theme : Pedogenesis, data collection, analysis, validation, reporting, monitoring
  • 3rd Theme : Geomatics, GIS, Remote sensing & Digital soil mapping; Spatio-temporal modeling and Analysis; RS & GIS applications
  • 4th Theme: Soil management & Degradation, Soil & Society Soil degradation; sustainable management of soil resources; soil protection, conservation and sustainable production; Interaction between soil and society; Institutional issues to preserve soils; Land economy
The ICOSS’2018 conference aims to bring together Professors, Researchers, Experts and Students in order to discuss recent research issues on soils. The conference will offer the opportunity to share and exchange knowledge, identify complementary concepts and technologies and formulate frameworks for future cooperation projects.
All papers should only be submitted through the online submission system. Papers must be in PDF format and be written either in English or in French.
